What is Ouran High School Host Club?

Ouran High School Host Club is probably one of the best romance animes I have ever seen. Ouran High School Host Club is the official English language title for the manga as translated by Viz, LLC for their Shoujo Beat line. Ouran High School Host Club is billed as a romantic comedy, but the emphasis is clearly on the comedy.

What is a Host Club?

Host clubs are popular night clubs in Japan where women go and pay for a man's company. In Japan, host and hostess clubs are becoming more and more popular. Sexuality is rarely involved; instead, a male patron will find the fawning pouring of tea by a female hostess utterly exhilarating, just as a female patron will fall into the spell of being genuinely treated as a princess by her male host. Set against this backdrop of a rich private school and the host club members' own bizarre or tragic histories, they are charming tales of romance and family, of discovering "commoner's" wisdom and finding bonds in friendship.

Who Goes to a Host Club?

Haruhi is a high-class schoolgirl who warrants her own ultra-regimented fan club. It's really funny, with Haruhi boggling at the crazy world of the rich, and the club members, in turn, trying to understand the lives of ordinary people. The boys in the club are developed as the series progresses, as is Haruhi and her background. Whilst Haruhi doesn't seem to mind that the Host Club have mistaken her for a male; the truth will eventually be known. Meanwhile all the guys in the club are falling in love with her.

Is Ouran High School a Real School?

Ouran High School is filled with rich people with lots of free time. Ouran High School Host Club is a manga and anime series that pokes fun at many of the shojo conventions that we’ve come to know and love. Ouran gets 4 stars out of 5 for having a dynamic set of characters, good story and pace. I admit, I had my hesitations when my friend first asked me to watch the anime version of Ouran High School Host Club, but after seeing just 10 minutes of it, I was hooked.

What is an Anime Series?

This is by far one of the most enjoyable animes i've seen in a longtime. The manga has already been adapted into a successful anime series, and over 6 million volumes of the manga have been sold in Japan alone. Superb use of music and storytelling contribute to making this one of the year's best individual volumes of anime. Having started on animation roughly a year ago, Ouran was the first series which I could easily consider excellent. There is no anime that made me laugh more than Ouran.

Ouran High School Host Club is pretty popular, so maybe there will be more of the anime in a few years or so when there is enough of the manga to make another season. Ouran High School Host Club is one of my favorite anime programs. Ouran High School Host Club is a story involving a wide range of characters, which takes place primarily at Ouran High School where they all attend.
